The 17th St. Petersburg Venous Forum (Christmas Meetings) dinner will take place on November 28 (Thursday) at 19:00 in the Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir. The palace, reminiscent of a Florentine palazzo, is located on the most famous embankment of the Neva and is surrounded by museums and architectural monuments. The palace is known to St. Petersburg residents as the Gorky House of Scientists. The building was built for Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, the third son of Emperor Alexander II. It is interesting not only for its architectural appearance, but also for its history, and especially for the names of people whose lives are connected with this corner of St. Petersburg.
